Design duo, Triboro, has purposely kept their team (made up of husband and wife, Stefanie Weigler and David Heasty), small. “The truth is we are control freaks,” Stefanie said before introducing their presentation, Under the Influence, focused on drawing inspiration from New York City, which she calls “a candy store for designers.”
In seinem Vortrag stellte Florian Pfeffer sein brandneues Buch »To Do – Strategien, Werkzeuge und Geschäftsmodelle für radikale Gestaltung« vor und gab Einblicke in die Themen dahinter. Er selbst hat seine Wurzeln klar im Printdesign, vornehmlich Buchgestaltung. Das im Verlag Hermann Schmidt Mainz erschienene Werk stellt nun sein Debüt als Autor dar.
In weltmännischer Manier begrüßte uns Thomas Manss zu seinem Talk: »Willkommen in der Welt der Thomas Manss & Company, wo Designer und Webentwickler so höflich sind wie die Briten, so präzise wie die Deutschen, so flexibel wie die Brasilianer und so präsentabel wie die Italiener.«

Amsterdam-based Moniker calls itself an interactive design studio, but that doesn’t begin to describe the multimedia design experiments that spring forth from the minds of Moniker’s Luna Maurer, Jonathan Puckey and Roel Wouters. Luna Maurer showcased some of the studio’s latest creations Thursday at Typo San Francisco 2014.

For years we have been trying to invite Berlin based graphic artist Sarah Illenberger. Due to organizational difficulties she could never make it. Now we are extremely happy to announce that Sarah will be speaking at TYPO Berlin 2014!
For TYPO Berlin 2013 Erik Spiekermann, Axel Nagel, Thomas Maier and Ferdinand Ulrich organized a printing press, wood type letters and stamps to print posters and t-shirts with the attendees. Thanks to Opposition Studios for making this video.
