Yang Liu

Yang Liu

Yang Liu was born in Beijing China. At the age of 13, her family moved to Germany. Upon completion of her Master’s degree at the University of Arts Berlin, she obtained work as a designer in Singapore, London, Berlin and New York City. In 2004, she started her own design studio. While hosting workshops and lectures in several international conferences, she could also be found teaching at the Central Academy of Fine Arts and the Glasgow School of Art. Her works have been awarded with several international design awards and are shown in numerous museums and have since become part of their permanent collections. Yang Liu is also a professor at the department of communications design at the Berlin Technical Art University.

Lombardo_Mario

Mario Lombardo

Mario Lombardo works for a variety of music, DVD, fashion label and magazine companies. He was the art director of SPEX magazine and in 2004, he founded the BUREAU Mario Lombardo in Cologne. He works primarily with the print medium in the cultural arena – music, fashion, photography, design, architecture, contemporary art and TV. Lombardo’s work is interdisciplinary, creating connections between language, space, aesthetics, material and poetry. He is art director for Liebling magazine and member of the jury for a variety of photography and design competitions, as well as teaching at design colleges. His work has been honoured with more than 70 national and international design awards.

Double Standards

Double Standards

Chris Rehberger moved from London to Berlin in 2000 and founded Double Standards in 2001. Double Standards’ field of work is almost entirely to be found in the cultural area and those departments connected to it in one way or the other.

Sagmeister_Stefan

Stefan Sagmeister

Stefan Sagmeister formed the New York based Sagmeister Inc. in 1993 and has since designed for clients as diverse as the Rolling Stones, HBO, and the Guggenheim Museum. Having been nominated five times for the Grammies he finally won one for the Talking Heads boxed set. He also earned practically every important international design award.
