TYPO London 2011, October 20-22, is THE design event this fall. Join more than 900 people and watch up to 40 presentations from design legends and emerging  hot new creative talent and even a real African king!

In addition to some of the stars of the scene, such as design legend Neville Brody (incidentally, Brody was also a speaker at the very first TYPO Berlin in 1995), New York-based designer Chipp Kid, Pixar’s Michael B Johnson, Michael Bierut, partner at Pentagram, independent film maker Gary Hustwit, Joachim Sauter, interactive media designer and founder of Art+Com and artist Lawrence Weiner, further exciting speakers were added to the line-up: Tom Uglow, Google Europe’s Creative Director , Jeff Faulkner, currently the Creative Director for Xbox Next Generation, Pamela Mead, Director of User Experience, Telephonica R&D, Dale Herigstad, the man who designed the UI experiential possibilities for the famous scene in Tom Cruise’s Minority Report.

German designer Julian Zimmermann and King Bansah promise to be another conference highlight. Togbe Ngoryifia Céphas Kosi Bansah is King of Hohoe, Ghana. He works as a car-mechanic in Ludwigshafen, Germany, and governs his people in the African Volta Region from there.  As part of his bachelor thesis, Julian created a corporate design for King Bansah. Their memorable joint presentation at TYPO Berlin last year brought tears to many an attendees eye and garnered spontaneous standing ovations.

See the full list of speakers here.

The conference will be moderated by Erik Spiekermann (who this year has been presented with both the Lifetime Achievement Award by the German Design Council as well as the Medal of the Type Directors Club, NYC – only the 25th Medal awarded in the club’s 65 year history!), Adrian Shaughnessy, author, design commentator and creative director, Lynda Relph-Knight, a design writer and independent consultant and editor for Design Week, and Simone Wolf, who regularly officiates at TYPO Berlin.
