When I work with typography, I invent a kind of game that goes beyond functionnality. I make the audience understand in an experimental way. My systematic explorations with letter shapes cross back and forth between a purely artistic approach that is truly, freely creative and the contradiction with the design which has to solve a problem which the client has asked me to solve. Every project I work on, especially posters and logotypes, bring about a new opportunity for expression that later becomes refined to a perfect executional technique. One of my beliefs is to gain a revenge overpainting with typography and to bring emotion to the art of visual communication.
