Design pluralism: a call for radical shifts in the teaching of typography

The world of typography and graphic design is shifting. There are countless books, blogs, and projects addressing technological and cultural changes. Regrettably, design education is following these changes, rather than leading them. It is time for typographic design education to be reconsidered to prepare students for tomorrow’s designed world. Using the Type Camp & Type Camp India case studies, this talk illustrates how we learn best when we are immersed in making, doing, and living.
