Space for Letters (Workshop)

Embossing letters or script into paper gives them a third dimension. Letters are embossed in the sheet using either available stencils or ones you make yourself, and a folding tool. Then, various pens or a balsa spatula can be used to write on the paper. This workshop will inspire you to experiment with this highly expressive form of creating documents, which derives much of its effect from the spatial interplay of light and shadow.
Alternatively, or in addition, there is space to cut and write with a reed pen.
