A qualified interior decorator, Katja Thoring studied industrial design at the Universität der Künste Berlin and California College of the Arts in San Francisco. After working as a screen designer with frogdesign in 2001, she now freelances in Berlin, including for the “zenzu” agency, of which she was a co-founder. She develops corporate designs and websites for national and international clients and also designs products and packaging. She is also involved in cross-disciplinary projects, for example in “wearable computing”, “idea management” and “product and interface”. Since 2005 Katja Thoring has also been an artistic assistant at the UdK and teaches aspiring fashion and product designers the principles of design.
