Simon Obitz

Simon Obitz studied industrial design in Darmstadt. From 1991 on, he’s worked for several famous noted design- and multimedia agencies in Frankfurt and Berlin. From 1999 to 2001 he worked as a creative director, and he was in charge of the foundation of a multimedia agency in Berlin. Since 2002 he’s been a professor for interactive communication at the University of Art in Bremen. There he represents the teachings of interactive communication and is head of the international, interdisciplinary course of study: Digital Media. The main focus of his teaching and research work involves interface design and non-linear dramaturgy. Obitz now lives in Berlin. At the TYPO 2003 he and Rainer Dehmann (logoz, Berlin) are going to talk about the dramaturgical and emotional aspects of the design of synthetic interaction.
