Michael Mayer studied architecture at Frankfurt a.M in Berlin from 1988-1996, worked  from 1991-1999 as an independent graphic-designer, and then completed a year-long training period to become a coordinator for new media in cooperation with ID Media (emphasis on screen design). From 2000 to 2001, he worked as a project manager for the multimedia agency, 3000 Communications. Since February 2002, Mayer has been the CEO of the agency Van Haven.
