TYPO Speaker

Julia Laub was born in 1980 in Bavaria. She studied multimedia production at the SAE Institute in Stuttgart before going on to study communications design at Schwäbisch Gmünd design college. She did an internship at Fuenfwerken in Wiesbaden and studied abroad at Basel’s design college. In 2007, she got her diploma in “generative systems” with Benedikt Gross and began working as a freelance graphic designer in Berlin, with a focus on book, corporate and generative design. In 2009, Hermann Schmidt publishers in Mainz published her book “Generative Design” (written with Benedikt Gross, Hartmut Bohnacker and Claudius Lazzeroni). In 2010, she founded the “onformative” agency for generative design with Cedric Kiefer.
