Grew up in the idyllic landscape of the Allgäu mountains in Bavaria, studied textile design at Reutlingen university, focused on photography and fashion design. Started as a trainee, and worked his way up. Became an Art Director in the music and advertising industry. Has dedicated his time exclusively to photography in the last few years. Received several international design awards, e.g. Lead Award, Art Directors Club Award, and Distinctive Merit Award. Launched vorn, an art magazine for free design, in December 2003. Is considered a great authority on wallpaper style.
