Radical design grabs problems by their roots (radix is Latin for „the root“). And there is no lack of burning issues at the present time: global networking, collapsing ecosystems, the fight for social balance … is design flexible enough for a world in flow? What strategies exist? Where are new business models emerging? Florian Pfeffer observes everyday objects and concrete examples. From these he derives practicable and substantial approaches for a radically expanded design that also has its own roots – for example, in Buckminster Fuller or Leo Tolstoy.
