Karma Chakhs – after crowdfunding and crowdsourcing now comes crowducing

TYPO Berlin 2013 Touch | Friday, 17 May | 4:00 pm | Stage | German

When Nike bought over the popular cult brand Chucks from Converse ten years ago, they relocated production from the USA to low-wage countries. Since then, there have been repeated scandals about serious deficits and human rights violations. A few hundred Chucks fans were unwilling to take this situation any longer and started producing Chucks themselves using fair trade networks. Le-Mentzel will talk about Crowducing, a new form of production and about opportunities and difficulties when designing supply and value creation chains with good karma.
