Due to Austria’s surprisingly poor history concerning font designers, it can be taken as an example and used to demonstrate clearly what political conditions and views of the world promote or stand in the way of developing fonts that are suitable for use in body copy. Areas where conflicts are apparent such as hierarchy, religion, the body and physicalness will be discussed at this event.
