Technologically, a humanoid robot is an extremely complex machine that interacts with humans and must therefore fulfil a completely different set of requirements than an industrial robot. This presentation will look at the development of the robot Myon and the design decisions that were involved in its creation. The issues will be examined from a variety of standpoints, from the design of the exterior appearance to aspects of the behavioural controls.
