Voluma GmbH in Berlin was founded in 2005 by Wolf and Anja Lindau in order to re-launch the Voluma connector system into the market. Ruedi Zwissler was formerly a student at Ulm’s design college under the stewardship of Otl Aicher. With Voluma, he and Max Bill developed a connector system that was minimalist and timeless in design. The Voluma system is based on the principles of connecting, not on a pre-set design framework. The look of the products created using the system – whether it be furniture, trade fair stands, or office or shop fittings – are first and foremost the result of the creativity of the user.
