Wim Westerveld

Wim Westerveld has been working as a designer and editor in the field of visual communication since 1985, specialising in information design, book design, culture and education. Until 1992 he worked with two major design companies in Amsterdam, Total Design and BRS Premsela Vonk (now Eden). During this time he taught typography at the Utrecht School of the Arts. From 1992 to 1999 Wim Westerfeld was living in Berlin, where he was co-founder and Partner of ‘de blik’ and worked together with Luc(as) de Groot (FontFabrik) and Matthias Wittig (Fernkopie). In 1999 he joined the Amsterdam-based graphic design studio Neon as a Partner.
Wim Westerveld has published extensively in journals and specialist books and teaches as a visiting professor at universities in Germany and the Netherlands.
