TYPO Speaker

Established in 1996, studio adhoc has since been committed to “holistic communication”, i.e., alongside its work on corporate design, its main focus is on the notion of media convergence involving all channels of communication.
As a result, the agency has a very broad work portfolio. Classical graphic design, product and web design, developing media presentations for trade fairs, inventing flash-games and developing “adhocCo”, its own content management system, are the challenges tackled here by five individuals with rotating responsibilities.
Since 2001, studio adhoc has each year handled a new design remit for TYPO Berlin.

Magnus Hengge

Came to Berlin to study visual communication at the Hochschule der Künste. Shortly after graduating, set up a company employing people who still form the core team at studio adhoc. Worked from time to time in other multimedia agencies in Berlin on websites and trade fair presentations for large German car and telephone companies and finally settled down as creative designer for studio adhoc GmbH, working on a variety of assignments in corporate, game, font, 3D, web, event and information design – all the things which make living and working in and with a small design agency so attractive.
