Kathryn Cho

Kathryn Cho was born in New York City in 1981. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Cooper Union in 2003. During her studies, she developed an interest in film and video. In 2000, she produced, wrote, directed and edited three short films at the New York Film Academy in the Universal Studios, California. Upon graduating from Cooper Union, she was accepted at the Hochschule für Gestaltung und Kunst (HGK) in Basel, Switzerland. She has worked at a myriad of companies, including Condé Nast Publications and Showtime Networks in New York City, and Neeser+Müller in Basel. Her work has been recognized by the Clio Awards, Art Directors Club, and and has been published in The Chronicle of Higher Education, CMYK Magazine, and China’s Art & Design Magazine. She received a grant in 2005 from Scholz & Friends to complete her documentary. She is now a designer at Base Design in New York City.
