Jay Ray alias Ralf Gruppe, was born 1970 in Berlin. Besides studying, he worked as a disc jockey and produced his first songs. In 1990, he signed a deal with Bertelsmann and published remixes for Real McCoy. His first solo album “November” came out in 1994. Two years later,  Jay Ray programmed the first  CD-Rom, his admission ticket to becoming a sound designer at 3000 Communications. Later, he worked on projects for Lufthansa, Bayer, E-plus, and the Berlin fair. Since 2001 he has supervised the Volkswagen Autostadt Mondoclub with his own agency, Luxamedia.
