Jan Abrams

Janet Abrams is an artist, writer and yentellectual, meaning that she likes to develop projects and events that bring people together from different fields, to spark ideas, interdisciplinary dialogue, and creative collaborations. Among her previous roles, she was on the original editorial team at Blueprint in the 80s, Writer-at-Large for I.D. Magazine in New York in the 90s, and Director of the University of Minnesota Design Institute in the 00s. Then she went back to school, to Cranbrook Academy of Art, earning her MFA in Ceramics in 2010. These days, if she’s not talking or typing, she’s scrubbing mud out from under her fingernails.
