Dirk Wachowiak was born in 1974 in Stuttgart, and, beginning in 1997, studied visual communication at the University of Design in Pforzheim. In 1999 he gained hands-on training at MetaDesign and Pixelpark in Berlin, and earned a scholarship to study abroad at the University of Georgia in Athens (USA) shortly thereafter. Dirk worked as a freelancer for the studio SeidlCluss and L2M3 communication design. In 2001 he earned a diploma at the University of Design, Pforzheim. Since then, he’s been an assistant for the course of study Visual Communication and an employee at the design company Plan B Zentrale in Stuttgart.
