Born in 1945, Bruno is experienced in hot-metal setting and is a certified type setter. For many years he has worked on publishing technologies (he was an early Mac user and netizen). After years of practical work in Switzerland, he joined Linotype in 1973, where he was responsible for training, support, sales department support, documentation and was the marketing and product development manager.

On behalf of Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG he founded the Linotype Library GmbH in 1996, and he continues to work as the managing director.
