Angela Zumpe was born in Berlin in 1953.

Study of Painting at Hochschule der Künste, Berlin, Mastetclass, exhibitions, 1. price for muralpainting Berlin.

1981-82
Scholarship DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) at New York University, School of Television (film and video)

since 1986
Specialising on digital videoanimation.
Freelance work for television: SFB, RIAS TV, ORB, MDR (all German public TV-stations) and SAT 1 (private station).

1991-92
Television design and art direction for n-tv (private news station, cooperates with CNN) establishing the electronic graphic department.

Teaching:
Assistant professor for design and video art at Hochschule der Künste Berlin, Merz-Akademie-Stuttgart College for Arts and Design.

Since 1992
professor for mediadesign at the Design Department of Fachhochschule Rheinland-Pfalz
