61st TDC Show in Berlin

At the end of January, two juries from the type directors club in New York singled out the year’s best typography work for the 61^st time. The prizes are given for typographic design – new fonts – as well as for their application, whether in books, posters, packaging, corporate design or in digital form. The work of the TDC competition winners will be seen in Europe for the first time in a three-week exhibition starting May 24, 2015, at Berlin’s Aufbau Haus artists’ complex.

61. TDC Show in Berlin

Zum 61. Mal wurden Ende Januar beim Type Directors Club in New York von zwei Jurys die besten typografischen Arbeiten ausgewählt. Prämiert werden sowohl die Rohstoffe der typografischen Gestaltung, also neu entworfene Schriften, als auch deren vorbildliche Anwendung, zum Beispiel in Büchern, auf Postern, Verpackungen, im Corporate Design sowie im digitalen Einsatz. Ab dem 24. Mai 2015 sind die Sieger des TDC-Wettbewerbs erstmals in Europa zu sehen, für drei Wochen im Berliner Aufbau Haus.

Hup Hup Holland!

After Russia and Poland in 2013, the Netherlands are the partner country of TYPO Berlin this year. With Joost Grootens, Erik van Blokland, Paul van der Laan, Petr van Blokland, Peter Bil’ak and Gerrit Noordzij we have some veritable institutions of Dutch design in the program. In addition to this, we also have two exhibitions of graphic design from the Netherlands set up in the in the foyer of the HKW, which shouldn’t be missed!
