Die beliebtesten Sprecher 2011 [Update]

Nach der TYPO kommt die Zeit, in der wir die Auswertung der Feedbackformulare vornehmen. Die spannenste Frage ist natürlich immer: Welcher Vortrag ist am besten angekommen – welche Sprecher haben euch am meisten fasziniert?

Christoph Niemann is an illustrator and author. He creates covers for the New Yorker, a visual column for the New York Times Magazine and once drew a Marathon while actually running it.
Martin und Thomas Poschauko

Martin and Thomas Poschauko

The twins Thomas and Martin Poschauko were born in Rosenheim in 1980 and studied Communication Design at the Würzburg University of the Applied Sciences from 2001 to 2007. Since 2007, they have been running their own studio in Au near Bad Aibling (Upper Bavaria). As designers, they work in the areas of illustration and graphic design and, as artists they focus on painting, drawing and print. The Poschaukos are interested in exploring creativity and design and pass on their knowledge to others as lecturers and authors.
Petr van Blokland

Petr van Blokland

After VWO/Atheneum-school (pre-university education, grammarschool) Petr van Blokland (1956) studied at the Graphic and Typographic Design Department of the Royal Academy of Visual Arts in The Hague. In 1979 he graduated cum laude (with distiction) and worked as an intern at Total Design in Amsterdam and Studio Dumbar in The Hague. From 1980 until today he was designer and partner in Buro Petr van Blokland + Claudia Mens in Delft. To specialize himself he studied for serveral years at the TU-Delft department Industrial Design. From 1984 until 1989 he taught at the Academy for Visual Arts in Arnhem. Recently he continued his study at the Technical University in Delft on Industrial Design and Artificial Intelligence to apply for a Master Degree. Since 1988 he is a teacher at the Master Type & Media of the KABK in The Hague and AKV St. Joost Graphic Design Bachelor and Master in Breda. The studio Buro Petr van Blokland + Claudia Mens is specialized in the design of type, solving complex typographic problems and the design of interiors and environments. As part of these projects other aspects of the profession are attended: writing software as design tools and development for digital media belong to the basic toolkit of the studio. The buro is built upon the knowledge and experience of a network of designers, who are capable to exploit these skills in the design proces. Both the design process and the development of the required (digital) tools are highly integrated.

Kris Sowersby

Kris Sowersby runs the Klim Type Foundry. Sowersby’s typefaces combine historical knowledge with contemporary craftmanship & finish. In 2010 Sowersby was named an ADC Young Gun. The Klim Type Foundry markets its typefaces exclusively through Village.
Michael Johnson

Michael Johnson

‎Creative Director, Principal / johnson banks (London)

Johnson Banks defines then design brands that want to make a difference: tackle hunger; fight for an open internet; raise billions for education; bring culture and enlightenment to the world; shift paradigms and change lives. Johnson’s clients include Cambridge University, Action Against Hunger and Mozilla. His new book, “Branding: In Five and a Half Steps” is a best-seller on both sides of the Atlantic.
