Based in Olapic’s European headquarters in London, Cabo is spearheading the company’s global expansion. Drawing on his extensive global consulting background, Cabo and his team successfully introduced Olapic’s earned content technology to the European market and have secured client partners including AllSaints, Karen Millen, L’Óreal, Pepe Jeans, and Tag Heuer. Born in Madrid, Cabo holds undergraduate degrees from Dublin City University and ICADE University and an MBA from the Columbia School of Business in New York City, where he and his co-founders received recognition and capital from the Eugene M. Lang Entrepreneurial Initiative Fund. He previously worked as a management consultant at Roland Berger Strategy Consultants, leading technology innovation, marketing and sales projects for large, multi-national corporations. Cabo has been featured extensively in the press and is frequently invited to present at trade conferences on the future of e-commerce.
Amy’s career started in PR but for the past 9 years, she has specialised in social media marketing.
She has experience in the local government, utility, tourism and gambling sectors and joined Hostelworld in 2015 from Camelot Group, where she set up and ran the social media team for The National Lottery and it’s five brands.
Her team at Hostelworld spans eight markets and is responsible for content production, social media management, community insight and influencer marketing. In addition, the team act as an in-house content agency for the business, strategically supporting brand campaigns (Mariah Carey, 50 Cent, Charlie Sheen, Chris Eubank), marketing partnerships (Boiler Room, ASOS, Resident Advisor), PR, SEO, display, PPC and product.
Brand Talks is the new rapid talk format on the second conference day. After the keynote by London-based branding expert Michael Johnson (johnson banks), talks change in a 30-minute cycle. The final talk gives Thomas Müller, Head of Design and Innovation at Fjord with his summary “The End of Branding As We’ve Known It”.
