Golnar Kat Rahmani (1983) lives and works in Berlin as a creative director and artist in the fields of typography. Born and raised in Iran, she studied graphic design at Tehran University and visual communication at Weißensee Academy of Art Berlin. Since 2006 she has been working with international clients such as Deutsche Welle, Art+Com, Umweltbundesamt and recently as art director for Encounter Magazine – a collaborative multilingual media project of engaged anthropology with artists, activists and journalists in English, German, Arabic and Persian. In 2016 she launched Studio Katrahmani – a multidisciplinary design practice focussing on Persian/Arabic typography.
