Corporate types in communications design – The Bestiary

For a lot of clients, “creatives” are an odd species. Although they may present in a variety of guises and with a variety of behaviours, they all seem to do, more or less, the same thing – “something with media”. Their strange jargon and unfathomable manners make communication difficult. So misunderstandings become routine. “Das Bestiarium” (The Bestiary) sheds a little light on the gloom of the designer jungle. With tongue in cheek, and illustrations by caricaturist Frank Hoppmann, the book presents 12 ½ corporate types, each with strengths and weaknesses, opportunities and risks.
