Uli Staiger is a photographer, image manipulator, digital artist, teacher and author and is among Germany’s best known photographic artists. His skilful use of 3D software and Adobe Photoshop makes the creation of his complex and much lauded work possible. His background as a trained photo technician and master photographer, and his unique expertise in image manipulation are the basis of the distinctive style of his complex work, which has been honoured with numerous international prizes. In 2012, Staiger gave a series of lectures on image processing and design for the Chinese Photographers Association in Beijing and Xining. Since 2014, he has been teaching photography and image processing at the headquarters of NATO’s Allied Command Transformation in Norfolk, Virginia. Also in 2014, Uli Staiger was honoured with the “photographer of the year” award by the Federation of European Photographers (FEP).
