Emil Schult, born in Dessau in 1946, studied at the Art Academy in Düsseldorf under Diter Rot and was a master student of Joseph Beuys and Gerhard Richter. This was followed by many years of close cooperation with the band Kraftwerk. Schult runs a studio in Viersen for free art and design.
