Alessio Leonardi is a designer and font designer. His typefaces are marketed by FontShop, Linotype and his own company BuyMyFonts.com. He designed the BMF Change font family for the city of Berlin, and works indefatigably on ginormous projects that he plans to finish in this lifetime, such as the largest hand-drawn font family in the world. His most recent book, “Mr. Typo und der Schatz der Gestaltung“ (Mr. Typo and the Treasure Trove of Design), an unusual compendium of typography in the form of a graphic novel, was published at the end of 2013. Leonardi is a professor of visual communication at Hildesheim’s HAWK University of Applied Sciences and Arts.
